Clean Beauty, Bath and Wellness Product Recommendations

GENERAL ADVICE
Always buy products based on your current needs. These should reflect your age, your children's ages, your family dynamic, and the temperature or season. Shopping for clean skin care is no different than shopping for food because seasonality is a big factor - things change and your skin changes too. You can find a lot of good options for clean products at:
- Target
- Thrive Market
- Credo Beauty
- Revolve
- Eco by Naty
- Burt's Bees
- Grocery stores - stick to the basics like coconut oils, clean oils (castor, grapeseed, almond, avocado, macadamia nut etc) and avoid harsh chemicals or ingredients that you can’t read or that are unfamiliar.
SUN CARE
Sun Bum - mineral cream with only zinc, face stick
SKIN + BODY CARE
Pursoma body oils, for mother (Pursoleil) and child (Purbebe Starry Night). You can find other oils for adults online at ulta.com or pursomalife.com
Try the soaps from Osmia Organics - made fresh in Colorado and the founder grows most of the herbs.
For moms or anyone with aging skin, I recommend Osmosis Beauty - this doctor-directed brand is fantastic and works, using ingredients that are wrinkle reducing yet do not disturb your endocrine system.
Vintner's Daughter makes an extra luxurious face oil especially for people in dry climates. It is an active botanical serum that is carefully and sustainably produced.
If you're looking for clean makeup, Ilia is a great go-to for lips, cheeks and tinted sunscreen.
My pick for deodorant is Agent Nateur - the Rose N4 one especially.
Daily baths and dry brushing do wonders for the skin and detox health - shop Pursoma for daily bath soaks, detox bath treatments, herbal teas, and a 100% jute fiber dry brush. Be sure to drink 1 liter of water while in the tub.
Speaking of hydration and drinking water, I love Trace Minerals magnesium drops to put in my water daily, as well as the Vitamin C PowerPaks.
For general hair care, I love the brand Olaplex - the founder is honest and has integrity in her products.
For specialized hair treatments, try I love Phyto Plage and their scalp treatments and the leave-in conditioners.
For oral care, try Living Libations hand-made in Canada, I love the oil pulling solution for daily use and the copper tongue scraper.
I am a huge fan of Infrared saunas - if you have one at home, I recommend clear light saunas. If you are exploring and want something portable, I recommend Higher Dose infrared mat.
REMEMBER...
Topical care is only 20% of obtaining beautiful skin - you should also:
- Cover up from the sun as much as possible and gett some exposure in off hours
- Hydrate with 3 liters of water daily
- Bathe 3 times per week in mineral-rich ingredients
- Dry brush daily
- Use an infrared sauna, blanket or mat 2 times per week
- Exercise for 30 minutes daily
- Drink fresh green vegetable juice once a day
